New Strip I developed
Tons of stuff under the cut. This is a new strip that I might do as my main deal from now on, although I haven't been doing any comics for a little bit. I think I'm maybe getting depressed again. M-M-M-MEGA POST
Man. I always get annoyed when the people I follow here on LJ don't post as much as I'd like (and thereby not entertaining me! insufferable!), and then I realize that I haven't posted in forever.  Phewww this took forever. Damn me for deciding to make a comic for which a sense of place was totally crucial. Man. Once I've actually got a schedule and such, like job or internship and what have you, I am not gonna be able to keep doing this "stay up til' six or later doing the comic" nonsense. I swear. 400! That is a number. |

 Woo, I got some ink! Money’s tight, but I had interviews yesterday and Wednesday (two in one week! sorpresa, for reals.) so maybe things are looking up, and I’m gonna tear down my childhood treehouse for my parents for the monies. Also, sorry I haven't been so good about remembering to crosspost comics over here on LJ lately. I've just been a little busy, and a lot scatterbrained. #397- What if Spambots were people
 Also, everyone can consider this comic, and the line “What if spambots were people, and did people things” to be my copyright dibs on that concept and phrase, so I can make a totally rad rhyming, illustrated children’s book about the idea. I’ll be in Durham today through Monday (I’m taking the train, I love riding the traaiiiiin it is my fave for reals), but Brittney assures me that there are scanners and computers with Photoshop that I can use while I visit her at Duke, so Monday’s update should come in just fine. |

#395- The case of the Comic Con with Special Guest George Lopez Part the Second
 I was gonna have an additional joke where George is like, “Hey, good job catching that guy who was confused about how to be in the KKK,” or something similar, but “brevity is the soul of wit,” and when you have as little wit as I do, you need all the brevity you can get. Also, I'm gonna make a mini comic soon I think, maybe try to get some of the comics stores around me to sell them, maybe even try to sell them on my website, although not really enough people come by who I don't know for there to be people who would buy 'em. I dunno, I'm just gonna do them and then figure out how to do a store/if it's worth it/etc. Right now I'm doing a bunch of research, I've never made a mini comic before! |

#293- Havana 59
 My baby's got a nice laugh. So, hey, a happy comic! Cool, yeah? I'm trying to work my way out of my sad sackery, my funk is not fun to make comics about, even less fun to read I am sure, and less fun still to live out. Making this comic made me happy, I need to do more challenging but fun comic stuff, it keeps me feeling motivated and not all completely worthless and a bum. Anyway, Havana 59 is a bar in Richmond, VA, where I lived, that is very convincingly themed after pre-revolution Cuba. A discussion on the appropriateness of glorifying a time marked by exploitive foreign sugar interests and mob connections will have to wait for another time, by which I mean probably never, and also they made me a Pimm's Cup so I can't have too much beef with them. |

 Is this a sign of maturity or being bummed out? Only time will tell! Woo! My interview went pretty well on Monday, and a writing opportunity I thought had fallen through may still be on! Finally, moxie counted for something in my life. Allllso tonight I actually started work on some things I said I would do a long time ago. |
